3/30/2023 0 Comments Mustard seed necklaceIn essence, he seems to imply that they don’t need more faith, they need to realize that they already have faith and even if it’s a small amount…that’s totally enough. So here in Luke Jesus isn’t scolding them for not having even the tiniest amount of faith – instead when they ask him to increase their faith he’s affirming that the disciples already have the faith to do what is expected of them. But there is also an “according to present reality conditional clause”: meaning, “If you have the faith of a mustard seed (and you do) …” So here is the time when I say that knowing a little Greek can be helpful.īut knowing how to look up blog posts from guys who know a lot of Greek – is unbelievably helpful.īecause here’s what I learned – and forgive me for talking about grammar in a sermon, but in Greek there is a “future conditional clause”: “If you were to have the faith of a mustard seed …” - implying that you don’t have that faith now. Which can easily contribute to us thinking that if we have the right amount and the right quality of faith then the hard things in life won’t be hard and we will never doubt. I think we sometime mistakenly think having faith is like being the little engine who could – I think I can I think I can…and if we just muster up enough – a tiny mustard size amount of faith we can do anything – we can trust God when things are bad and never struggle or doubt and we can even uproot bushes into a watery grave if for some reason we think that’s what is called for.Īnd this Gospel text about the mustard seed kind of feels like Jesus is scolding us for not having even the tiniest amount of faith. We assume that having faith means not struggling with faith….that having faith means being totally trusting and peaceful and absolutely serene when really tough stuff is happening to us or around us.īut the thing is, that then, when the hard stuff in life happens, not only do we feel crappy, but then we have to add to it also feeling totally inadequate about our faith, which just makes it all worse. Is doubt ok? And one was really a statement and not at all a question: someone wrote: Sometimes I wonder if there really is a God because of all the hurt and suffering in life.Īnd so, with these questions and the texts for today rattling around in my brain, I started to think again, as I have before, about how often we assume that having faith means not doubting. What I was struck by were the sheer number of questions that were so similar – no, not “what do your tattoos mean?” but things like, is it ok to feel distant from your faith when you are going through a really hard time in life? And… What does it even mean to have faith? And…What if I am not sure what I believe? And. I think that’s why the prayers of the people here at House are so raw and vulnerable – in a way they wouldn’t be if people were standing up and saying their prayers out loud. Anyhow, it was too many people to be able to do a proper Q and A where people stand up speak and so we asked people to write down their questions instead.Īnd reading these questions, I realized how different it is to write something anonymously than it is to stand up and say it out loud in a room full of people. This Thursday I spoke to about 11 hundred people on the UND campus in Grand Forks North Dakota, which I think may also be the actual population of Grand Forks North Dakota. I mean, I’m saying the same things over and over which is downright monotonous for me, so what I really love, is doing Q and A – or as my friend Brian Calls it: Q and R Question and Response. See, I’m basically boring myself to death out there. This week while on the road, I had a really interesting experience around how some people struggle with what they think it means to have faith. Well, for the record, that necklace was super cheap and always turned my neck green so, you know, I didn’t wear it much anyhow. Nadia does not perform miracles, therefore Nadia has so little faith it’s not even as big as that mustard seed around her neck. Because I’ve always heard it as this syllogism: With only a teensy weensy amount of faith, Nadia could perform miracles. I have no idea what good that does.Īnd regardless of the relative merits of mulberry bush drowning…this text has often made my faith feel inadequate. Um, maybe you guys could help me with something here: I have never understood why, if given such vast power over physical objects, one would, out of all the options available, choose to uproot bushes and throw them into the ocean.

Other information can be gleaned from other contemporary sources, such as the letters and speeches of Caesar's political rival Cicero, the poetry of Catullus and the writings of the historian Sallust.ġ9th century Italian marble bust of the young Julius Caesar.Ĭaesar was born into a patrician family, the gens Julia, which claimed descent from Iulus, son of the Trojan prince Aeneas, himself the son of the goddess Venus. In 42 BC, two years after his assassination, the Roman Senate officially sanctified him as one of the Roman deities.Ĭaesar's military campaigns are known in detail from his own written Commentaries ( Commentarii), and many details of his life are recorded by later historians, such as Appian, Suetonius, Plutarch, Cassius Dio and Strabo. This dramatic assassination occurred on the Ides of March (March 15th) in 44 BC and led to another Roman civil war. This forced the hand of a friend of Caesar, Marcus Junius Brutus, who then conspired with others to murder the dictator and restore the Republic. He was proclaimed dictator for life, and he heavily centralized the bureaucracy of the Republic. After assuming control of the government, he began extensive reforms of Roman society and government. Leading his legions across the Rubicon, Caesar sparked civil war in 49 BC that left him the undisputed master of the Roman world. Caesar was widely considered to be one of the foremost military geniuses of his time, as well as a brilliant politician and one of the ancient world's strongest leaders. His conquest of Gaul extended the Roman world all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, and he was also responsible for the first Roman invasion of Britain in 55 BC. He played a critical role in the transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire. Gaius Julius Caesar ( IPA: ), July 12 or July 13, 100 BC – March 15, 44 BC) was a Roman military and political leader and one of the most influential men in world history. In certain favourable locations, enhanced tropospheric propagation may enable reception of ultra high frequency (UHF) TV signals up to 1 600 km or more. Such weather conditions can occur at any time, but generally the summer and autumn months are the best periods. A settled high-pressure system gives the characteristic conditions for enhanced tropospheric propagation, in particular favouring signals which travel along the prevailing isobar pattern (rather than across it). Another symptom during such conditions may be interference to the local transmitter resulting in co-channel interference, usually horizontal lines or an extra floating picture with analog broadcasts and break-up with digital broadcasts. During very settled, warm anticyclonic weather (i.e., high pressure), usually weak signals from distant transmitters improve in strength. Such signals are thus directly affected by weather conditions extending over hundreds of kilometres. Tropospheric propagated signals travel in the part of the atmosphere adjacent to the surface and extending to some 7.5 km. Such conditions are related to the current state of the troposphere. Viewers living in such a "deep fringe" reception area will notice that during certain conditions, weak signals normally masked by noise increase in signal strength to allow quality reception. The service area from a VHF or UHF radio transmitter extends to just beyond the optical horizon, at which point signals start to rapidly reduce in strength. Tropospheric propagation describes electromagnetic propagation in relation to the troposphere. One thing FM is famous for is the sheer quantity of data available for players to make informed decisions when it comes to tactics and transfers. About this game Football Manager 2021 was developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. New Data Hub - Match Momentum/Passing Charts Read further below to know more about this game and venture your management skills. It’s worth bearing that in mind when you’re setting up your tactical system and making your second half substitutions as forcing your team to cover plenty of ground in the first half can have consequences as the clock ticks down to the final whistle. If your players are pressing too hard and lacking condition during a match as a result then you’ll see your team making more inaccurate passes, taking heavier first touches and making more errors. The changes made to accuracy and inaccuracy go hand-in-hand with the overhaul to the pressing system in FM22. This all leads to a more realistic representation of how possession and momentum shifts over the course of a match. With Football Manager 2022 finally launching, the latest game promises to deliver all the excitement of the previous titles and more! So what are you waiting for? Here are all the places you can buy and download the game now.Įrrors have also been applied to first touches for the first time, so it’ll be more obvious when players have overhit or mistimed their first touch. The way under-hit and overhit passes look in the match is also significantly improved. Sports Interactive has rebalanced the way that the length and difficulty of a pass affects the accuracy so, for example, long-range through balls will have less chance of finding their target. The match AI in FM22 has taken another step forward with a suite of upgrades that make them the most intelligent in the series’ history.
3/28/2023 0 Comments The division 2 walkthroughYou can also track down Exotic blueprints and try to craft those if you’re feeling more adventurous. The Division 2’s Dark Zone will also reward gear up to 450. The options for getting gear once you hit Tier 4 include completing bounties, which reset periodically, as well as the daily and weekly challenges. But for now, World Tier 4 is capped at a Gear Score of 450. This will become The Division 2’s new endgame. Sometime in the future, developer Massive Entertainment will release Tidal Basin, a new Stronghold, as well as World Tier 5. Once you have finished the last post-30 Stronghold mission, you’ll reach World Tier 4 and the final endgame missions. When you upgrade to a new tier, all of the content in the world will step up to the new tier’s difficulty. Each tier is a step up in difficulty, but because your gear is better as well the difference isn’t too stark, but it is noticeable. Any gear that drops while you’re in one of these tiers can only go up to its own tier cap. World Tiers are grouped by Gear Score with Tier 1 capped at 300, Tier 2 at 350, Tier 3 at 400, and Tier 4 at 450. For now, there are four World Tiers in The Division 2 with a fifth on the way. The most important thing for this part of the endgame is clearing the missions the game gives you and advancing in World Tiers. You move from one tier to the next automatically once you’ve reached a certain Gear Score and completed the necessary missions. World Tiers are difficulty modes within The Division 2’s endgame. Each time you complete a Stronghold mission, you’ll advance to a new World Tier. The Stronghold missions have a required Gear Score before you can start them, but the missions you have to do to unlock them should get you to the score you need. Then you repeat the process for each of the game’s four Strongholds to take back the entire map. Usually you’ll have to play one or two missions before taking on a Stronghold mission to close out an area. This process is a lot shorter than it was the first time around. to recapture some of the key locations you already went through in the campaign, but this time you’ll be fighting the Black Tusk. This is the first stage of The Division 2’s endgame. A new faction, the Black Tusk, arrives in DC. The Black Tusk arriveĪfter the final mission of the campaign, your map will change. Once you’ve got your specialization, you can start the Capitol Building mission and finish the main campaign. Each specialization will give you a new specialist weapon and a new skill tree to upgrade. He’ll offer you three new specializations. Instead, head to the White House and talk to your Quartermaster. Specializations and the final missionĪs soon as you reach 30, you’ll have access to the game’s final mission at the Capital Building. Here’s a roadmap of everything you should do after you hit 30 in The Division 2’s endgame. It will point you in the direction of suitable missions and bring you right to the door of the final mission (which requires you to be level 30 before you start it).īut after you hit 30, things aren’t quite as clear. The Division 2’s main campaign will guide you all the way through the game’s 30 levels. |
